Founded at Teknopark İzmir in 2019 with TÜBİTAK BİGG support, Naturarge develops COSMOS Organic and vegan-certified products, drawing on its expertise in designing natural, sustainable and high-performance products.

Elif Yılmaz Pekçalışkan, founder of Naturarge, stresses that they treat products as scientific systems whose parts interact with each other. "We design the product's whole system, from the raw material to the production process," she says, summing up the core approach behind Naturarge's work:

"We have worked in cosmetics and functional food since our founding, but today we no longer define Naturarge only as a company developing products in these two fields. Sustainability, low environmental impact, minimal waste and biotechnological methods form the basis of our R&D work.

With the 'Naturarge Active Systems Map' we developed, we classify actives by their biological targets and synergies and design targeted care systems. In functional food, we work on probiotic, herbal and value-added products.

One of our most important achievements is developing COSMOS Organic and vegan-certified products and being the first company to produce COSMOS Organic-certified color cosmetics at Teknopark.

We use this expertise to develop natural, sustainable and high-performance products both for our own brand and for our business partners."

Pekçalışkan says they continue their work with the aim of becoming an international R&D and technology company in natural product technologies, biotechnological actives and sustainable formulation systems, and concludes:

"For us, success is not just producing more; it is the knowledge, formulation systems and technologies we develop creating value in different markets. We want Naturarge to be known as 'the technology company that develops the science and system behind the product'."
